Another door on the other side of the garage opens onto an inner courtyard surrounded by tropical plants with outdoor sand washed steps leading down the side of the two storey bedroom pavilion to the pool deck and living area.
Directly in front of the garage, the pathway leads to the upper floor master suite, a spacious, open room that slides onto a wide wooden balcony with dramatic views out to the ocean beyond. A deep, purple L-shaped sofa faces a 44″ flat screen TV and DVD player with surround sound, while in the next room a 6-seater dining table is served by a modern kitchen equipped with brand name appliances including a SMEG oven and hob. The minimalist design suits the setting with Asian art and an intriguing inner garden with leopard statue adding a sense of exotic charm.
STAYING AT THE VILLA: As soon as you walk into Villa 11 you know it’s a place you’ll rarely want to leave. The pool deck and spacious lounge and dining pavilion provide the perfect base for daytime lazing. You can drift between the sun beds and cooling dips in the pool, nip into the kitchen for snacks and drinks or laze on a cushion in the teak wood sea view sala with a good book, enjoying the stunning island views that unfold right beneath you.
On balmy tropical evenings, moving the dining table onto the pool terrace for dinner is a fabulous way to enjoy an alfresco feast. Guests have the option of hiring a private chef to prepare meals, or can shop at one of the island’s well-stocked supermarkets and self cater. The estate also has two excellent restaurants, a cocktail terrace and with Chaweng so close by, enjoying either Thai and international cuisine is never a problem. A daily maid keeps everything clean and tidy, while other optional services such as car hire, tour bookings and a baby sitter mean your every need is easily catered for onsite.
At night, the sublime privacy of Villa 11 comes into its own. Whether relaxing with friends or family on the wide bedroom terraces, taking midnight dips in the pool under the stars or receding to the lounge or bedroom to kick back in front of a movie, you are totally free to enjoy the peace and indulgent amenities without the restrictions of hotel rules and schedules.
